Role Descriptions
Back up GM: You are happy to fill in as a GM in the event that a dedicated GM drops out. (If you want to be a main GM rather than a backup, there's a different form for this: http://bit.ly/Nat2020GMSignUp.)

Boardgames Assistant: Helping in the organisation of the Boardgames events, including transport and set up of games, as well as assisting with rules queries.

Guide: Assisting players in finding the space for their chosen event. May require you to travel with the player to show them the location, which may be some distance away.

Heavy General Assistant: Helping with the general set up and running of the event. May involve heavy lifting of tables, chairs, and other objects during set up.

Help Desk: Assisting with registration, and other duties at the help desk, such as directing players to appropriate locations.

Inclusions Team: Assisting players with Inclusions related issues, such as the locations of our quiet spaces and resolving problems. Note that by volunteering for the Inclusions team, you agree to undertake a short training session with our Inclusions team, and be subject to some vetting for safeguarding reasons.

LARP NPC: Playing a non-player character for the Open categories. Likely to involve some physical activity.

Light General Assistant: Helping with the general set up and running of the event. Less physically demanding than Heavy General Assistant, will involve moving small items such as dice and refreshments for GMs. So probably lots of walking!

Wargames Table Officer: Helping in the organisation and set up of Wargames events and set up of games, as well as assisting with rules queries. May involve heavy lifting of tables, chairs, and other objects during set up.
