2025 Rock Camp SLC - Summer Session Volunteer Application
Rock Camp SLC (RCSLC) is a summer camp for girls, transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive youth ages 8-17. During the week-long day camp, youth of all skill levels will learn to play an instrument, form a band, write an original song, and perform their song on stage.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Please know that all of the information you provide contributes greatly to our efforts to make rock camp a supportive, accessible, and fun environment for everyone.

Applying to volunteer at RCSLC is a 3-part process:

Part 1: Fill out this form

Part 2: After reviewing your application, we will confirm your volunteer spot via email and schedule a quick volunteer interview either over the phone, in-person, or on Zoom. 

Part 3: After being assigned your volunteer position(s), we will send you a volunteer acceptance form to fill out digitally and give you information about getting a background check. Background checks are only required every 3 years, so if we did a background check on you for summer camp in 2023 or 2024 you will not need a new one. Our volunteer coordinator will let you know if we need a new background check this year send you instructions to complete it online.

Session 2: July 28th - August 2nd

Session 1 - The Commonwealth Room - Saturday, June 21st @ 1pm
Session 2 -  The Commonwealth Room - Saturday, August 2nd @ 1pm

Camp Setup Dates:
Session 1 - Saturday, June 14th - 10am
Session 2 - Saturday, July 26th - 10am

Volunteer Orientation (In-Person):
Session 1 - Thursday, June 12th @ 7pm - East Hollywood High School
Session 2 - Tuesday, July 22nd @ 7pm -  East Hollywood High School

General Daily Schedule:

Monday - 8:30am to 4pm - assembly, band ice breakers, instrument instruction, workshops, lunch, band practice

Tuesday - 8:30am to 4pm - assembly, instrument instruction, workshops, lunch, band practice, closing assembly

Wednesday - 8:30am to 4pm - assembly, instrument instruction, workshops, lunch, band photos band practice, closing assembly

Thursday - 8:30am to 4pm - assembly, instrument instruction, workshops, lunch, t-shirt making, band practice, closing assembly

Friday - 8:30am to 4pm - assembly, instrument instruction, workshops, lunch, band practice, closing assembly

Saturday - Camper Showcase - 1pm - arrive, 2pm show starts, 3:30pm - show ends
