I'm a mom of two boys, a sewer, and an entrepreneur. I'm investigating the viability of putting together a small startup that would develop knit prints for sale in the US. I've been incredibly frustrated by the lack of good printed knit options - especially for kids. Having taken to buying half (or more!) of my fabric overseas for a ton of money, I thought it might be time to try to fix the situation.
I personally think that there are lots of home sewers and small businesses in the US that would buy reasonably-priced, good quality cotton, printed knit fabrics online and in stores. But I need to find out if I'm right about that before I investigate finding funding for such a venture.
Further, I'm hoping to accomplish this goal in the most eco-friendly and humanitarian way possible, assuming we can find a way to do so while keeping costs in a viable range.
I'd also love to hear any ideas, thoughts, comments, or questions any of you might have.
