Presenter: E. Elena Songster, Associate Professor of History, Saint Mary's College of California

E. Elena Songster (宋雅蘭) is the author of "Panda Nation: The Construction and Conservation of China's Modern Icon" and will speak about the evolution of her project through her field experience, the interdisciplinarity of research on environment-related topics, and the centrality of people in the study of history, especially in the history of China.
