As part of our 2024 celebration of Black culture and achievement, and in recognition of the significant contributions that Black Canadians have made to build our city and country, TMU Athletics & Recreation is excited to celebrate Mark Stoddart, our keynote speaker.

Mark Stoddart is a Toronto-based artist, designer, activist and owner of the company LIWI68.COM, an online store that sells merchandise with the intent to educate, empower and unite. Dr. Tanya De Mello, Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion at TMU will kick off the event with opening remarks. Mark will speak about the 'Bold, Beautiful & Brilliant’ (2024) BHM shirt designed for TMU and share his journey in 'Fostering positive change through art, sports, and social activism' followed by a Q&A. We encourage all department staff and student-athletes to wear their shirts to this event.
