Confidentiality: Confidentiality is the shared responsibility of all group members and facilitators. We ask that you keep all information discussed in the group confidential. This agreement means that you may not discuss any information shared by any member of this group with anyone outside of the group. Group facilitators will not disclose client information, except under legal or ethical circumstances (e.g. suicidal intent, homicidal intent, child abuse, elder abuse and/or court order).

Attendance: Group members are expected to commit to attend group for the entire duration of sessions. Members are also expected to arrive on time every week. Group will always start on time. Weekly attendance will allow everyone to continue the discussion that may feel unfinished from the last session. Everyone's weekly attendance promotes feelings of safety and trust.

Relationships with other members: Group allows for therapeutic relationships in which you can learn more about yourself and the ways in which you relate to others. You may have some strong feelings towards other members of the group, however, the group can be a safe environment to explore those feelings and how you act on them. If you do have contact with someone outside of the group (e.g. a chance encounter), we ask that you share this at the end of the session. If someone who is absent comes up in the group session, it will be brought up in the next group session.

Participation: Members are not required to talk in group, but we know that the more you share in the group, the more benefits you receive. We will encourage you to talk about feelings and facilitate you sharing your stories with each other. We realize that asking you to focus on your feelings can be vulnerable! Group is a place to learn new ways of making a deeper connection to others and yourself.

Unexpected absences: It is important that if you want to join, you attend each session. This keeps the group space feeling as safe as possible and the consistency helps us all get to know each other more intimately! In the case of emergency or unexpected life circumstances, members agree to contact both facilitators via email if they are unable to attend a session or are running late. We encourage cancelation of group attendance at least 24 hours in advance. If you know ahead of time that you will not be in attendance, please let the group know. If a member does not abide by this agreement three times in a row, or if a member has very inconsistent attendance, they may be asked to leave the group without a refund if the groups already paid for.

Termination: Members agree to give the group at least a one session notice before exiting the group, to allow for the closure process and understand that they will not receive a refund.

Check-ins: Members agree to be mindful of the time they are taking to check in and do their best to keep check ins.

Mindfulness: Facilitators may begin each group with a 5 minute arrival meditation/mindfulness or arrival exercise.

By signing below, I indicate that I have read carefully and understand this agreement. I agree to all the terms and conditions. I am aware that signing the agreement is required for admission and continuation of the group.
