The National Foster Youth Institute is launching a new membership program to lift up the powerful collective voices of current and former foster youth between 18 and 30 who have personal experience in the child welfare system. As an NFYI Member, you'll have access to trainings, information and support that will help make you an effective advocate. Membership is free, but we do ask that you be committed to using your voice and experience to demand transformational change in child welfare and be open to collaborating with others. NFYI will be with you every step of the way in accomplishing this and requires a commitment of participating in 4 advocacy activities and 4 community activities each year.
If you live in a state where we've established an NFYI Local Chapter, you'll be included in local chapter activities. If your state does not yet have a local chapter, you'll have an opportunity to engage online with other members close by and across the country.
