What is an Ambassador?
Ambassadors are a dynamic group of seasoned and active members within the Chamber. Serving as an Ambassador for the Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce is a vital role. The main mission of the Ambassador program is to act as greeters at various Chamber events, while also supporting the retention of current members and the recruitment of new ones. This enthusiastic team maintains connections with other Chamber members, promotes the Chamber’s mission, and ensures everyone has fun in the process!
For retention, Ambassadors ensure that both new and existing members feel welcomed, have a positive experience, and fully utilize their membership benefits. For recruitment, Ambassadors extend the Chamber’s reach by inviting potential new members to events and highlighting the advantages of joining. Additionally, Ambassadors play a significant role in organizing the Annual Membership Meeting and the Summer Solstice Business Social.
To be considered as an Ambassador, applicants must be a member of the Chamber in good standing. Ambassadors should strive to achieve a minimum number of points each quarter and annually to maintain their status. Those who fall short of the annual goal must reapply to be part of the program the following year.
What's in it for you?
As front runners in the business community, Ambassadors build relationships within the community, expand visibility for yourself and your business/organization, grow your knowledge of the business community, influence the direction of Chamber programs, receive exclusive opportunities and priority invitations to community activities and events, and gain access to leadership and volunteer opportunities.
When do we meet?
The Ambassadors will meet monthly, on the first Tuesday of the month, at 4:00p. Meetings will be organized to allow committee members to attend in person or virtually. Each Ambassador is expected to attend all committee meetings. If an Ambassador misses three meetings, their position may be declared vacant upon the decision of the Committee Chair and Executive Director. Ambassadors should contact Chair or Chamber staff when absences are planned or emergencies prevent attendance.
