PRSA Dallas thrives on its volunteers, and we believe the best way to expand your network and experience is by getting involved in the chapter and its activities. We have a variety of roles to offer and can find the perfect fit for you based on your availability and experience.

We are currently seeking volunteers for 2025.

Our programming, event experience, diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, member & sponsor engagement, marketing, social media, awards, education opportunities, etc. are all planned, managed and implemented by volunteers. It is a significant and rewarding commitment to the public relations industry in our local community.

Programs: The backbone of the chapter. Create programs designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of chapter members for monthly meetings throughout the calendar year.

Honors & Awards: Oversees several Signature Events, including the annual Pegasus Awards program.

UnSummit: Our flagship chapter event will deliver highly relevant and compelling professional development opportunities that benefit professionals at all levels – from recent graduates to seasoned executives.

Non-Profit Workshop: Help plan the annual Nonprofit PR Workshop, the Dallas Chapter’s annual service project offering PR programming to nonprofit practitioners in the Dallas area.

Leadership Development: Design programs, content, and year-long initiatives to develop leadership competency within the chapter.

Social Media: Helps establish social media strategy for the Chapter’s social media channels, maintains a social media content calendar to ensure a regular cadence of posts, creates content and posts content on a regular basis.

Newsletter & Chapter Blog: Manages a monthly member newsletter and securing monthly content for the chapter blog. Opportunity for volunteers to write and work with members to provide thought leadership about PR, as well as provide members insight on how to make the most of their PRSA membership.

Graphic Design: Creates graphics for social media, the PRSA Dallas chapter website, the newsletter and events.

Sponsorships: Work with the Treasurer to seek sponsors for chapter programs, including monthly meetings, Pegasus Awards, and more. Hands-on knowledge for those in the fundraising sector.

Membership Engagement, Recruitment, and Retention: You enjoy building organizations from the ground up, and that starts by increasing our membership. Utilize your creative thinking to set annual membership goals, handle membership inquiries, and organize an orientation program.

Assistant Treasurer: Work with the chapter president and current treasurer in preparing the annual budget, disburse funds, and deliver monthly financial reports. Real insight into the operational working of a trade organization. Good experience for those wishing to apply for the position of Treasurer on the following year's board.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I): For those who live and breathe all-inclusive opportunities (or those who want to gain experience in this area), ensuring every person has a seat at the table, and for creating content to promote PRSA Dallas thought leadership throughout the year.

Young Professionals: A special interest group tailored to meet the needs of younger public relations professionals and early career individuals. Provides opportunities for networking and professional development.

University Relations: Provides mentoring, support and guidance to PRSSA chapters in our region.
