CalFre$h Action Day - Volunteer Form
H.E.R.O.E.S, Basic Needs Security, CropMobster and many others are hosting the first ever CalFre$h Action Day on our campus at the Gym on April 17th from 11am-3pm in which we would like to mass enroll students from our campus to CalFresh in order to promote food equity on our campus. We also hope to promote food related resources to students who may not qualify for CalFresh to ensure that food access is something we promote for ALL of our students. We need volunteers for set up, food distribution, and tear down!

What is CalFresh:
The CalFresh Program, formerly known as Food Stamps and federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), can add to your food budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores. The amount of the benefit is based on the size of your household, your income, and your housing expenses. CalFresh benefits come on a plastic card, called the Golden State Advantage Card, which you can use just like a bank card at most food stores.
