2017 Application for Grades 8-12
A Fresh Approach to Cooking, Collaboration, and Cost
Summer Thyme Cooks is a FREE, four-part summer cooking program for teens entering grades 8-12, presented by the Free Library of Philadelphia's Culinary Literacy Center. In four weekly hands-on classes, students will learn basic cooking skills, including how to read a recipe, how to prepare seasonal fruits and vegetables, and how to stay safe in the kitchen.

FOOD SHOULD BE SHARED

Food is meant to be shared, so every Summer Thyme Cooks class ends with a family-style meal. Students go home each week with a new recipe and a grocery bag filled with healthy, fresh, budget-conscious ingredients so they can cook with their families!

I give full permission for my child to participate in Summer Thyme Cooks. In doing so I commit to having my child attend the full four-week program.
Your child's commitment to attend all four classes of Summer Thyme Cooks is very important. Due to high interest in the program, we maintain a wait list of students each year. If your child misses one of the four sessions, their spot in the class may be given to the next person on the wait list. Thank you for understanding.
