Hello De Anza students, faculty, and friends! Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

The Asian American and Asian Studies Department (ASAM) Vibrant Communities is celebrating AAPI Heritage Month with a series of events. This event is titled History Making: A Retrospective of "Cruisin' J-Town". The filmmaker, Duane Kubo, was the former Dean of Intercultural and International Studies at De Anza. His 1975 documentary, Cruisin' J-Town, was selected as one of 25 films to be preserved in the National Film Registry in 2023. 

Come for a screening of this celebrated film and to hear from the filmmaker himself about its' 50-year story.
