The mission of the Helping Hands Committee is to raise funds to benefit the children of BCS and promote fellowship. There are a number of ongoing and annual events that take place each year. All of these events present the opportunity to be involved, which is a great way to support Christian education at BCS! Each year many volunteers are needed for a number of different positions. The Helping Hands Executive Committee has been tasked with coordinating the various volunteer positions to ensure that the needed positions are filled.
To accomplish this task, each BCS family is asked to volunteer. In an effort to create a measure of equality between volunteer opportunities each position has been assigned a point value. For the 2017-2018 school year, each family with a child in grades 1 through 8 will be assigned volunteer positions that collectively total 25 points (10 points for families with their first child in Kindergarten). If a family does not wish to participate, they may purchase their points at the specified amount per point. Funds collected from those families who choose to purchase their points will be used towards the tuition accounts of those families who wish to volunteer more than the requested amount.
This is designed to provide each family with the general guidelines relating to the parent involvement program at BCS. If you have additional questions, please contact a Helping Hands Executive Committee member at firstname.lastname@example.org or BCS office staff for assistance.
Thank-you for supporting Christian education at BCS!
