National Novel Writing Month – Junior Version

Thursdays, October 26, November 16 and December 7, 3:30-4:45pm

The Annex, 251 W. James St.

Did you know November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)? And did you know that there’s an awesome Junior version of this event just for students? What better time to start (or continue!) working on your book-length story! Local award-winning young adult novel author Valerie Biel will guide students from initial idea through a completed story. We’ll work on building a good plot, character creation, choosing your setting, dialogue that doesn’t drag, and everything else that goes into making your story awesome! For participants from the spring Writing Workshop, we’ll review topics and add in more advanced writing craft tools.

This class is open to students in 4th – 8th grade.
