The goal of HackerHouse is to bring a group of remote employees and open-source contributors to work and socialise together and connect with the local tech community in Taiwan. You can see some impressions from the

- Dec 8Ā (Sunday evening): Take the Highspeed Rail from Taipei to Kaohsiung
- Dec 9 - 13 (Mon - Fri): Co-work together from Kaohsiung (Kindly sponsored by Startup Terrace)
- Dec 14 (Sat): Check out and departure from Kaohsiung or optionally return to Taipei
## Accommodation
For the weekend in Taipei (1-2 nights, checkout on Sunday), you're responsible for booking your own accommodation. We have a partnership withĀ

For Kaohsiung, we've got a couple of "Standard Double Rooms" pre-booked forĀ 8 Dec - 14 Dec (6 nights)Ā atĀ CHECK inn Express Kaohsiung Love River. (~57SGD/~45USD per night including breakfast). It would be nice for everyone to stay together there, but if you'd prefer to book your own accommodation, please let me know!
## Cost
Taipei Budget accommodation is ~US$85 per night per room, Kaohsiung accommodation is around ~US$45Ā
per night per room. Highspeed rail is ~US$50. For food and misc things plan ~US$15 per day. The coworking space is kindly sponsored by Startup Terrace Kaohsiung. So in total* (upper range) you're looking at a total cost of ~US$510Ā if you're staying in your own personal room and living lavishly ;)Ā *Note: this total does not include travel to/from Taiwan before/after the HackerHouse and doesn't include travel insurance! You're responsible for that yourself. If you need insurance for the trip, Safety Wing is a good option!
