The Buddha’s Birthday and Multicultural Festival (BBMF) is an annual event which has been held successfully over the years, with the aim of promoting multiculturalism in our society while celebrating the birth of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. To gain a better understanding of the festival, you can check out our website: https://www.buddhasbirthdayperth.org.au/
Part of the two day program involves the multicultural performance stage, which showcases local talent from various schools, communities and cultural groups, providing them with the opportunity to perform to a captive audience and gain recognition for their efforts. The music, song and dance adds to the festivities and atmosphere, bringing fun and joy to the thousands who visit the festival over the two days.
We are a non-profit organisation run by volunteers and this a free event. As such, we request for your voluntary contribution of performances on Saturday 13th April and/or Sunday 14th April. In return for your generosity, and as a token of our appreciation, each performer will receive a bottle of water and a $5 food coupon, which can be used to purchase food at the festival. We highly recommend having a look around the festivities before or after your performance!
We look forward to receiving your expression of interest to participate. Please fill in the form and submit it to us by Sunday 20th January 2019, as we may not be accepting applicants after this date.
