Parts & Pieces Psychoeducational Songwriting Class Sign-Up
Join Anastasia and Karrie for therapeutic songwriting class. We'll start by rewriting a song we already know, do some lyric analysis, and create your own songs. No music experience is necessary to engage meaningfully in this psychoeducational group. Tuesdays, 6pm-7:30pm
About the Group Leaders:
Karrie is a Neurologic Music Therapist, researcher, and music teacher in the Boulder area. With a bachelor in piano from the University of Texas at Tyler, she started her career in Texas as a special education teacher. Suffering from burnout, she left education and earned an equivalency in music therapy from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre haute, Indiana. Here she began researching music therapy in the treatment of trauma.
Anastasia is a board-certified music therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado. She owns Creative Remedies, LLC which serves to use creativity to enhance healing and learning. In addition to her therapy work, Anastasia is a singer/songwriter and composes music for her own personal healing as well as to perform around the Denver metro area.
You will receive a zoom link 15-30 minutes prior to the beginning of the class which will be sent to the email you add to this form.
Due to Covid, we are offering this class on a sliding scale/donations basis.
Suggested donation: $25/session, but pay what you can via PayPal or Venmo.
