“Mental Health: Teaming with Providers treating Schizophrenic Patients” is a 3-hour continuing education training for medical interpreters who provide services to Limited English Proficiency families from countries around the world and the deaf and hard of hearing community. This class will familiarize interpreters with some best practices and tips for success when teaming with Mental Health Providers. By the conclusion of the class, participants will, assess mental health situations for safety, identify the different types of diagnosis for schizophrenic patients, and examine tools for diagnosing schizophrenic patients based on the DSM-V, and apply them in a hands-on practice in target language.
