Performing Arts Student Interest - DV CONNECT HIGH (Spring '25)

     -Shuttle: the CHS-201 shuttle runs daily, departing CHS at 2:45pm. Students are able to take the shuttle or walk from 550 Continental Blvd. to 201 N. Douglas St. Any walking students must complete and submit a Walking Permission Slip. 
     -Transportation home: students are responsible for their own transportation home at the conclusion of their class/rehearsal
     -Schedule: please check class/rehearsal times to ensure no conflicts with your schedule or other Performing Arts offerings
     -Experience level: for all classes/ensembles, there is NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY (except for Studio Orchestra, which requires 1 year of string/wind experience prior to joining)

COURSE OFFERINGS
-ACTING: Through monologues, scenework and improvisation, come build compelling characters, devise dynamic scenes, and strengthen your spontaneity! (For both stage and screen!)

-MUSIC PRODUCTION: 
Sound like your favorite artist! Learn how to make beats, create instrumentals, and mix songs like a pro.

Day/Time: Tuesdays, 3:30pm-4:30pm
Location: CHS Campus (550 Continental Blvd.)

-DRUMLINE: Be a part of history by joining Wiseburn-Da Vinci’s first-ever Drumline! Open to anyone ready to interested in drumming, marching band, or percussion.

-STAGECRAFT: Design for Theatre: In this second semester course, students will explore the creative and technical elements that bring productions to life. Topics include Scenic Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, Costume Design, Hair/Makeup Design, and Theatre Marketing/Publicity. Students will also gain hands-on experience working on events and shows in the Blackbox.

-STUDIO ORCHESTRA: DV’s full-year performing ensemble that plays at several exciting concerts and events throughout the year. (Minimum 1-yr wind/string orchestra experience.)

-CHOIR: Whether you’re winner of “The Voice” or only sing in the shower—choir is the group for you. Join “Voices of Da Vinci Choir” as they spread love, joy, and positivity through song.

-STAGE CREW ("INTO THE WOODS"): We are currently seeking enthusiastic students to join our Run Crew (backstage support) and House Crew (concessions, tickets, and audience services)!
