Dear LNA Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in our program. Becoming a Licensed Nursing Assistant is a great step in starting a career in nursing. Our program is designed to prepare eligible candidates to practice as a nurse assistant providing direct patient care. The knowledge and skills taught in this course will prepare students to apply for a Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) licensure with the Vermont State Board of Nursing.

This program is approximately 115 hours in length. Classes are held at the North Country Career Center and the Bel Aire Nursing home, both in Newport.

The cost of the class is $1050 Tuition, $75 Textbook, $150 Testing Fees for a total of $1275. Many of our students qualify for VSAC Non-Degree grants (www.vsac.org). In other cases students are sponsored by the Vermont Department of Labor. If you will be paying for this course yourself, please ask about our tuition assistance which is not dependent on income of assets. At times we can help self-pay students with 50% of the tuition. We are also willing to design payment plan options to help disburse the expense.

Below is a list of what is required to complete your application and be considered for admittance into our program.
• Online Registration (including funding source, LNA questionnaire, LNA Clinical Agreement)
• Immunization Record
• TABE Scores – Contact Northeast Kingdom Learning Services (NEKLS) at 802-334-2839
• Consent for Release of Registry Information (Background check)

Once your application is complete, we will contact you to schedule an interview.
Thank you for furthering your education with us. Please let us know if you have any questions along the way.

Sincerely,
