Facilitating RS/C in Early Learning Settings Registration 2026-2027

Thank you for your interest in Facilitating Reflective Supervision/Consultation in Early Learning Settings training hosted by COAEYC in partnership with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC). This program, aligned with the Reflective Interaction Observation Scale (RIOS) Framework and CDEC/PDIS requirements, will prepare professionals to facilitate RS/C with adult learners. This program is offered virtually, and includes instruction and structured practical application. Participants must attend all sessions or make up missed sessions to earn a certificate of completion.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each course includes 11 core sessions and 1 bonus session. The bonus session allows space to make up missed time or dive deeper into the administrative/business side of being an RSC provider.
Sessions include a mix of content and applied practice.
Participants must attend all sessions to earn a certificate.
Opportunities to practice outside of class will be available.

October 6, 2026 - February 15, 2027

Meets Tuesday evenings from 5pm - 7pm
Group meets weekly and then transitions to twice monthly

Meets Fridays 3:00pm - 5:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am - 10:00am weekly (See full schedule)

This facilitator is bilingual in English and Spanish, and may be a helpful support and resource to English language learners. However, please note that the RIOS book is only available in English at this time and the cohort will be facilitated in English.

PARTICIPANTS

Participants participated in at least 8 hours of RS/C with qualified RS/C providers as an ECE provider, coach, or other ECE professional, or in a clinical setting.
Participants have experience in roles that would benefit from facilitating RS/C such as coaches, program directors, mentor teachers, home visitors, special education providers, and others in supervisory, technical assistance, or leadership roles in ECE.
Submission of this form does not guarantee registration. Candidates with prior RS/C experience and ECE experience prioritized. COAEYC will contact you to confirm your registration and share the payment link.

COST

Registration is $125 and includes the full training series (22+ hours), required course textbook, and priority access to ongoing supports for RS/C providers.

We ask that all participants have at least 8 hours of experience receiving group and/or individual Reflective Supervision/Consultation. We have found that participants who have prior experience with RS/C are more successful in the class.

I understand that I am expected to attend all sessions. The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) requires that RS/C providers participate in 20 hours of training, with 8 hours being applied practice. If I am absent and am unable to make up the lost hours, I will not receive a certificate.
