In partnership with KleinLife, Penn State University – Abington is offering after-school workshops in Entrepreneurship and STEM skills. These 7-week workshops will emphasize project-based skills in entrepreneurship, design, programming, computer science, and engineering.

Eligibility
Students with strong interest in MATH are invited to apply. The MATH level will be determined by a placement test. Students who successfully completed MATH 1 automatically qualify for MATH 2.

Course Description 

Programming with Electronics, January 21- March 6, 2025 (7 weeks): The course is designed for 9th to 12th grade students. The focus of this course is to let the students learn and explore while building a fun and challenging computer development environment. This includes an understanding of how a computer works, physical components of computers, how they are assembled, Operating Systems, Programming Languages, and embedded applications. Kits will be provided.

Gaming with Python, March 11 - May 1, 2025 (7 weeks, no classes during Easter break, April 14-18):
Coding and gaming collide when students are immersed in the software project lifecycle designing and developing an adventure game using practical examples.
