2018 Australian Videogames
I am trying to make an as-comprehensive-as-possible list of Australian videogames that are released over the course of 2018. The goal of this is to get a fuller picture of just what videogames are being made here (or by Australians outside the country) beyond the industry statistics that can be very centred on commercial releases and miss all the 'other stuff' at the margins (indie, hobbyist, student, etc.).
Have you released an Australian game that you can't see on this list (
)? Fill out the form with whatever details you are happy to share and I'll add it to the list! (NOTE: List updated manually from this form's results so might take a little bit of time to appear)
I'll be re-sharing this form at the end of every month over social media, but please add any 2018 game that you have released that is not currently on the list.
NOTE: The list is publicly viewable so don't enter any details about funding or whatever that you don't want publicly known.
WHAT GAMES COUNT?
I'm trying to keep this as broad as possible. If it is a videogame that is released in 2018 by a developer(s) that either is Australian or based in Australia, then chuck it on.
For simplicities sake, please only include games that are ALREADY out, not games that will come out at some point in 2018. Include these once they are actually out. In terms of 'Early Access'... that pretty much counts as released these days so that's fine.
WHAT ABOUT NONDIGITAL GAMES?
I'm not interested in these for this particular list, but I'm happy to keep a very broad definition of 'videogame' if you've got some sorta digital game you think sorta counts. Chuck it in!
YO TAKE MY GAME OFF THIS LIST SOMEONE ELSE PUT IT THERE AND I DON'T WANT IT THERE
Sure thing! Email me at
and I'll do that ASAP.
Developer name (individual, individuals, or group)
Developer Location(s) (nothing more specific than Town/City names)
Publisher (if applicable)
Play Platform(s) (PC, Mac, Android, etc.)
Distribution Platform (Steam,
, App Store, etc.)
What 'type' of videogame would you categorise this as? Commercial, serious, hobbyist, personal, educational, etc. Multiple answers is fine. Any other descriptor word is fine.
Was the game's development supported fully or partially by any sort of government or arts funding? If so, what fund/grant? (No numbers required!)
Was the game created as part of a game jam? If yes, which game jam?
URL to where the game can be found, if applicable
