2026-2027 DC Auditions Sign-Up

Auditions are June 5th-7th, they will be broken up by ages as well as styles. SUBMISSION DUE BY JUNE 1ST!!!!

(some callbacks may be asked for Saturday Junior level)

Junior Audition (9-11) Jazz and Lyrical 10am-12pm
Teen Audition (12-14) Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp. 1-3pm
Senior Audition (15+) Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp. 4-7pm
Sunday June 7th-
Tap and Hip-Hop 
Mini Tap 9-10am
Mini Hip Hop 10am-11:30am
Junior Tap 10-11am
Junior Hip hop 11:30am-1pm
Teen/Senior Tap 12-1pm
Teen/Senior Hip Hop 1pm-2pm

Placements for levels of jazz, lyrical, contemporary and tap will be assigned based on your audition as well. Levels will NOT automatically carry over from the 2025-2026 season, nor will all kids advance in every level from the previous years placement.

Are you interested in being considered for CORE COMPANY? 

CORE is beyond invite only. It also means higher weekly requirements,  a min. of 3 regional competitions, 3 local conventions and a non local nationals. In addition to more events and requirements you must also be able to be cast in a min of 3 group pieces in the styles of Lyrical, Contemporary and Jazz. As well train in one optional style such as of Hip Hop or Tap.

Are you available August 3rd-8th for DC Intensive and choreography? (Intensive is a mandatory event for all company members INTENSIVE runs 10-3pm and choreo follows 4-9pm based on casting/schedule you must be present)  *
ACKNOWLEDGMENT NEEDED: Dancers can expect 4-8 required core classes/week depending on casting; core classes require mandatory attendance. Please consider this when selecting the styles you are interested in. This DOES NOT include rehearsals.

3. I will fulfill commitments; know when rehearsals are; be on time to rehearsals, events, and performances; if you must miss a rehearsal/event for any reason, find out what you missed. Come watch rehearsal when injured.
4. I will be loyal to my studio and fellow dancers; put the team above personal glory.
5. I will always treat all people with respect; be fair and open-minded; always be willing to listen and learn.
6. I will NOT engage in disrespectful conduct including profanity, offensive gestures or remarks, taunting, boastful celebrations, or other actions that demean individuals or activity.
7. I know that I am expected to represent Dance Connection, teachers, and fellow dancers on and off the dance floor. I will consistently practice good character and conduct myself as a positive role model.
8. I will NOT talk back to teachers or fellow dancers; control anger or frustration; don’t gossip and learn to communicate with your parents and teachers when needed.
9. I will demonstrate exceptional effort, display a good mental attitude, and set a good example for the whole studio.
10. I promise to contact my company director(s) if I have to miss a class, rehearsal, or an event due to a conflict.
