MSCCA’s goal is to select presenters and workshops that include educational, interactive sessions that are engaging and motivational. Our focus is on quality, adult early learning experiences, while encouraging participants to apply new and innovative ways to improve their classrooms, programs and business practices. Sessions will be chosen to support infant/toddler teachers, PreK teachers, school age teachers, family child care providers, bilingual learners/teachers, administrators, directors and professionals in the field of child care/ECE.
Session topics related to Education, Child Development, Curriculum, Special Education/Needs, Social and Emotional Competencies, Executive Functioning, Social Justice, Equity, Cultural Competencies, Trauma Informed Care, Diversity, Anti-Bias, Advocacy, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, Accreditation, Health and Safety, Regulations, Enrollment, Marketing, Staffing, Website Design and Social Media Marketing, School Age Best Practices, Infant and Toddler Enrichment and Activities, Coaching and Mentoring, Family Engagement, ELL, STEAM, Conscious Discipline, New Early Learning Standards, CLASS, Team Building, Risk Management and more are welcome and appropriate! Participants choose from multiple tracks to enrich their professional development portfolio.
Please be sure your presentation is versatile for Teachers/Educators, Aides, of any and all age groups, as well as Administrators Owners and Directors. Please indicate if you are targeting a specific audience (i.e. Infant Toddler teachers, Administrators, Directors, Preschoolers, or School Agers).
IMPORTANT: MSCCA Professional Development Committee will make final decisions in December 2025 and prepare registration to open on January 2026. We will contact the speakers/presenters chosen for the conference in January 2026. Your submission of the RFP indicates you plan to present. Please keep the conference dates open! If your presentation is not chosen, you will receive communication from MSCCA in early January 2026.
Classrooms will be assigned to presenters after registration closes in April 2026. The final number of attendees dictates the classroom style seating, you will not be given a choice for classroom style (rounds, classroom or theater) MSCCA will provide all details, including number of attendees, classroom style seating, a map of the conference center, your classroom assigned and more details, after registration closes in April 2026.
Please note the level of your presentation as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or appropriate for all levels. MSCCA’s annual conference is a true “conference” experience. The classes are sometimes LARGER than a traditional training or workshop. Session participants will be attending both in-person and virtually. Sessions may hold up to 200 plus participants in person, but may be larger or smaller, with the possibility of additional virtual participants at the same time. Conference by the Sea presenting is unique. If you are looking for SMALL class sizes, this is not the conference for you. We try to give participants their first choice for sessions, whenever possible.
Brief descriptions, outcomes and assessments are required for each class. Presenters are asked to provide a content specific assessment with a no more than five (5), three (3) questions are preferable. MSCCA will provide AV support with multiple facilitators to assist in each class, both in-person and virtually.
Presenters and Panel Participants are required to register for the conference free of charge and will receive registration materials and badges. Your fees and accommodation needs are required in this RFP. Access to all conference related events and meals are limited to those wearing the MSCCA Conference Identification Badge, including speakers/presenters.
Presenters interested in attending sessions will be able to register as a conference participant separately and will be expected to pay for registration, if attending conference sessions.
Please complete this entire “Request for Proposal for Conference Presentation” google form for each of the minimum of 1.5-hour workshops (2 hour or longer sessions will be considered for Thursday, Friday and Sunday) and/or 1 hour keynotes. You will be asked to upload your brief bio. We do NOT retain copies of your biography from year to year. We may offer longer sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
**PLEASE provide the session description and outcomes/objectives as part of this RFP. MSCCA will distribute electronic presentation materials and supporting documents to conference participants registered for the session through the conference app. If your material is copyrighted and cannot be distributed, please indicate, below. MSCCA will NOT make copies of the presentation materials for distribution in person. Participants may prefer to have copies of your presentation, as well as supporting documents. We encourage presenters to bring their own copies to distribute. Please consider this information when submitting proposals.
IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS will require:
1. Be present at least 30 minutes prior.
2. Check in at MSCCA registration desk upon arrival.
3. Wear name badge during conference events.
4. All materials, including power points uploaded into designated Cvent Platform at least 21 days prior to the conference (request for this will be sent separately from training@mscca.org). Please bring your presentation on a thumb drive as a backup.
5. Please be advised that video clip/s, if applicable must be submitted separately for your presentation and not embedded in PowerPoint.
6. Attire is Business for presentation, casual when not presenting!
