Kalipay has been accepting local and international volunteers since 2011. Volunteers conduct various activities and services that are beneficial to the full development of the children in the residential homes.

Volunteers are seen as partners in Kalipay’s vision of providing for the needs of disadvantaged children and protecting their rights. The services that they render create a great impact with lasting impressions on the development of the children.

Volunteers are welcome to stay a minimum of one month to one year and should preferably be aged 20 years old and above.

Volunteers Guide

Here are some guide for your volunteer time:

1. Things to bring - semi-formal outfit

Swim wear
Sweater (pull over for aircon places)
Umbrella or raincoat - earplugs (in case you will sleep in a noisy environment)
Medicine kit (first aid and basic medicinal needs)
Flash light
Insect repellents
Adaptor with flat plugs
Unlocked mobile phone + charger (Globe sim cards are affordable here)

2. DRESS CODE: Following items are FORBIDDEN at KALIPAY HOMES

Bareback or thin-straps sleeveless which lets appear back, shoulder or belly.
Low-necked or figure-hugging top.
See-through clothes
Stained, holey, or damaged clothes
Short shorts

Please note that drinking alcoholic beverages/sodas and smoking ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Volunteers Program Fee

For those who will be staying in our homes, there is a monthly fee for food, water, and electricity:

US $375**
EURO 300**
Philippine Peso - Php 20,000.00

Acceptance to the Volunteer's Program

Due to the nature of Kalipay’s work with disadvantaged children, acceptance to the program will be after a thorough evaluation. Acceptance and selection will be based on the need(s) of the home and the SPACE AVAILABITY for the volunteer(s) in the home.

Due to the influx of volunteer requests we get, this might take some time (1-2 weeks). Please make sure that you put in an active email address as this is where we will be contacting you. *
