TamizdatAVAIL Intake Form
TamizdatAVAIL provides pro bono legal assistance to the members of the international performing arts community when they encounter problems with issues related to the U.S. visa and immigration systems. The program serves international performing artists and arts professionals who do not already have the representation of a lawyer.

If you are an international performing artist who is trying to come to the U.S. to perform, or if you are trying to bring a foreign performing artist into the U.S., we can help with three kinds of immigration and visa issues:

• If you don’t know whether or not the artist needs an employment visa, we can help you figure that out.

• If you filed an I-129 petition, but something has gone wrong, we can help solve your problem.

• If something has gone wrong with the consular process, we can help you figure out how to solve what’s gone wrong.

To get our help, please agree to the terms of service below, and then complete the following form by providing a short summary of your problem. A (real live human) TamizdatAVAIL fellow will then contact you by email (usually within 24 hours) to talk with you about your problem directly.

Terms Of Client’s Pro Bono Engagement of TamizdatAVAIL:

TamizdatAVAIL is a program of Tamizdat, which is a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting international cultural exchange and mobility. TamizdatAVAIL provides pro bono legal counsel on a number of topics related to international artists traveling to the United States. By engaging TamizdatAVAIL, you acknowledge the following:

(1) You understand that you are creating an attorney/client relationship with Tamizdat, and that Tamizdat owes the petitioner (or “sponsor” if any) and the visa beneficiary (probably the artist) a duty of confidentiality and loyalty.

(2) You confirm that no other U.S. attorney currently represents either the petitioner or the visa beneficiary in this matter.

(3) You understand that the scope of counsel that TamzidatAVAIL can provide is limited, and your fellow will inform you of the limitations as it pertains to your matter.

(4) You will receive counsel either from a licensed attorney, or from an experienced paralegal who is closely supervised by a licensed attorney.
