Buck Stadium Used Turf Disposal Sign-Up

Alpine ISD will replace the turf at Buck Stadium this summer. As part of this project, the current turf surface has been declared surplus property and will be removed and discarded in accordance with district policy CI(LEGAL).

Before disposal, Alpine ISD will make rolls of used turf available to community members at no cost. The turf is 14 years old and is in used condition.

Please review the information below before signing up:

  • Turf will be cut into rolls approximately 20 feet x 40 feet in size.
  • Each roll will weigh about 1,800 pounds.
  • Approximately 200 rolls will be available.
  • Turf rolls will include both the turf surface and rubber in-fill.
  • Rolls cannot be resized, customized, or separated.
  • Requests for specific areas of the field cannot be honored.
  • Turf rolls must be picked up in person at Buck Stadium.
  • Individuals must bring their own trailer or equipment capable of transporting a 1,800-pound roll.
  • The turf resurfacing company will assist with loading rolls onto trailers.
  • Turf rolls will not be delivered.
  • Pick-up is expected to take place May 21–22, 2026 or May 26–29, 2026. Dates may change based on construction progress.
  • Alpine ISD will contact individuals using the information provided in this form to schedule a pick-up date and time.
  • Any turf rolls not picked up by the final day of turf removal will be discarded.
