What: The Lab, is a media arts mentorship workshop that teaches various skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier Pro. The Lab, will provide participants with the opportunity to learn hands on graphic design and media arts skills while working with actual clients to create, develop and produce design projects. This unique experience will help develop life skills, workforce and job readiness skills, and will help youth foster their passion for art.

By integrating mentorship and media arts education within and beyond the school day, KAE allows youth to experience authentic learning, cultivates healthy and healing relationships, and allows youth to develop their voice in response to the challenges they see in their community.  As such, we believe that media arts education, including but not limited to education about social media as a platform for art and community action, can play a powerful role in opening opportunities to the media arts industry.  

Cost: FREE - Program is being offered to Youth ages 14 - 24

****A Media Waiver will be required to be signed even if consent to film your student is not granted or permitted .
