Questions & Answers:
Please see the list of questions with answers below.
When will I hear back about my application?
We will reach out in the next few weeks to everyone who completes this form. Right now we are finishing the migration of items over to 2021, after cancelling Doki this summer. Once that is all finished we will start focusing on next years event, and that is when you will be contacted in regards to completing the application.
How do I know what staffing position I am applying for?
A list of open positions will be listed as options in the form below, as well as a brief description of the position. A complete run down of the position will be emailed to you if you have been selected for the position, and you will be expected to look that over and mark that you have read and understand the position you have applied for.
What is it like being a staff member?
Unlike volunteers our staff members are more involved in the inner-workings of running the convention. This means scheduled Google hangout conference calls where updates and tasks are given, as well as the opportunity to vote on various items we would like to see happen at our convention.

As a staff member you may be given tasks during what we call the 'off-season', which is between the months of September-May where most of the behind the scenes work goes on. These tasks vary depending on the position from things like Marketing, Researching, Creating Forms/Documents, to more detailed tasks like assisting with the creation of the events schedule, proofreading documents, and outreach to local business'.

During the weekend of the convention Staff are expected to arrive the Thursday before (this years dates are the 12-14th, so we expect staff to arrive that Thursday on the 11th) to help assist with setup, training, and meet the rest of the team to prepare for the weekend.

Staff may be expected to help work past scheduled hours as needed during that weekend, and to fill in spots where volunteers or staff are not present. Staff must help enforce hotel and con policies. It is our job as staff to help maintain a safe environment for everyone, and to follow protocol should various events or acts of God happen during our convention.

Dokidokon does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status. Therefore our staff are expected to treat all persons with equal rights and with kindness, regardless of any personal opinions or beliefs. If a staff member is found to be of a discriminative nature then action will be taken which may lead up to dismissal of the person as staff.
What are the perks of being a staff member?
Our staff members are vital to this convention even happening, and as such we do our best to help take care of you! Every year we are constantly trying to offer more for our staff and find new ways to show our appreciation to them.
As staff for Dokidokon you will receive:

1. Two staff T-shirts with your name on the back and department you work in.
