TRAINING DESCRIPTION
Based on the 12 competency areas outlined in the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development curriculum, the Virginia Career Coach Certification (VCCC) program provides coaches, advisors, and other interested employees at Virginia’s community colleges with the frameworks and tools needed for effective career coaching. The VCCC requires 40 hours of training consisting of 10 hours of face-to-face Zoom meetings, split into five, 2-hour parts (breaks included), and up to 30 hours of content presented in online learning modules.
To complete the VCCC program and receive certification, participants must attend all 10 hours of face-to-face Zoom sessions in addition to completing the 30-hour online learning modules and completion of a short capstone activity.
