ComSciCon-AAS Application
ComSciCon is a series of workshops focused on the communication of complex and technical concepts organized by graduate students, for graduate students. ComSciCon-AAS is a new initiative to bring this nationally renowned event to scientific conferences. ComSciCon-AAS will take place immediately before and after the 234th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in June 2019 in St. Louis, MO.

ComSciCon-AAS will provide hands-on science communication training with experts in oral and written communication. Selected participants will attend a full day June 9 and reconvene the afternoon of June 13. Between these days, you will attend the AAS meeting and write a short piece about a result you see or a talk you attend. This piece should be written for a general audience, and you will receive peer and expert feedback during the second part of the workshop.
