Some efforts to improve the world can be much more impactful than others. Smallpox eradication, the abolitionist movement, germ theory, and the Green Revolution demonstrate what's possible when people come together to solve pressing problems. At the other end of the spectrum, many well-intended initiatives are ineffective or even counterproductive. Doing good better is one of the defining challenges of our time.
Recognizing this need, EA-UW is hosting free Fellowship programs to equip students with the knowledge to do good in the world more effectively and the tools to think critically about their career ambitions. By the end of the fellowship, participants have access to in-depth coaching, career advice/connections, and unique opportunities to help others. We look forward to learning with you.
The programs will run for 8 weeks on Wednesdays 5-6pm from
September 24th to November 12th, with a 1hr discussion and approx. 1 hour of encouraged prep.
Please sign up for this program by Friday Sept. 19th; if this deadline has passed, please reach out to contact@eauw.org and smuthupandiy@wisc.edu to be placed into a group and learn how you can get involved.
We are committed to building a diverse cohort of Fellows. There is evidence suggesting that underprivileged individuals tend to underestimate their abilities. We do not want the sign-up process to dissuade potential candidates and we strongly encourage interested students to apply regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, ability, and background. *** The application is open to all, with a focus on UW students, faculty, and staff. ***
The following sign-up form has two pages and should take around 5-10 minutes. Please reach out to
contact@eauw.org any questions!
