21-22 Application: Governor's Work Ethic Certificate (GWEC) Purpose and Requirements

Purpose: The employability skills recognized in the GWEC have been vetted by Hoosier employers, community based organizations, and post-secondary education institutions and are designed to encourage students to meet the benchmarks that will assist them in their college and career goals. In addition, students can proudly display their GWEC certificate in their portfolio and list GWEC on their resume. GWEC's are issued by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD). DWD aims to connect GWEC students with local employers.

REQUIREMENTS/ Eligibility: Students are required to show documentation showing they have met all requirements listed below. Documentation may include but is not limited to: high school transcripts, 3 teacher verification forms, proof of school or community service form.
