MissVideo4u Submission form
Welcome to MV4u, a distributed video archive network. 
She's an alternative distribution model, she's a video archive, she's a network of Divas, she's a distributed video archive network, she's a DVA network. 

For every 10 videos Miss Video receives through this form, she compiles the videos onto a single USB. She then makes 10 copies of this USB to be distributed to each contributor in the group. Along with the shorts, contributors are invited to share one zine page and other ephemera related to the submission to contextualize it: a reading list, manifesto, bloopers, storyboards, or reflections. This digital ephemera lives together with the videos on the USB. 

The zine pages from each contributor are combined, printed, and packaged together with all 10 videos on the USB.

VIDEO: No time limit for the video, but please submit something less than 10Gb. If you find yourself challenged by the size limit, get creative! Compress it, remix it, submit episodically. Finally, please give credit where credit is due <3

ZINE PAGE (required): The chainletter includes a small zine of work from each contributor. You can put whatever you want on your page! A letter to the other contributors in your USB, an introduction to the video you shared, your contact info so other filmmakers can hit you up, the last five photos in your camera roll, etc. (For some inspo, take a look at the zine from our Resurrection Chainletter).

+ NOTE: 8.5 by 11 inches for a horizontal two page spread, or 4.25 by 5.5 inches for a one pager in the zine <3

EXTRA FILES: Feel free to add bloopers, storyboards, notes app screenshots of your pre-production riffs, your favorite poem, a PDF of the book that changed your life, etc to share in the chainletter.

If Miss Video wants to coordinate a screening and include your video, do you give permission for yours to be shown? If yes, you will be contacted beforehand.

NOTE: If you would like to coordinate a public screening of the videos shared with you via USB, please be sure to get permission from fellow contributors beforehand. And let Miss Video know, she would love to help promote!
