Join Skagit Land Trust at Barr Creek Conservation Area to help maintain this beautiful property near Rockport. We will be working off-trail clipping back and digging up invasive blackberry. While you are there, enjoy the story trail!
What to expect: Getting to the work area will involve hiking approximately .25 miles on a well-maintained trail and then traversing off trail over uneven ground to access the blackberry. We will be working .25 - .50 miles from the parking area. Parking is limited, so if you are interested in carpooling please let us know.
Ages: Preferred 16+ (minor release of liability if under 18).
Supplies to bring: Long-sleeved shirt, pants, sturdy shoes or boots, raingear if needed, water for the day, backpack, lunch & snacks.
Tools to bring: SLT will provide tools but if you prefer your own bring leather gloves, loppers, shovel or your favorite blackberry grubbing tool.
Please fill out the Google Form below to RSVP. Most events are limited to 20 people. Once the event is full, you will be added to a waitlist.
REMINDER: If you are signing up with a group, each person must fill out the form individually.
