The Committee of Seventy's Presidential Election S.T.A.R. Cards (Students Thinking and Acting Responsibly) provide young people with information about elections and make them aware of the power of each of their voices now and into the future.
The 36 cards each ask one thought-provoking question to students within three themes: basic civic knowledge; promoting engagement; and providing practice in deliberation, debate, and advocacy. They are designed to provide information and have students share their points of view. The cards do not have right or wrong answers.
Sign up below to use these cards in your classroom this fall. Starting the week after Labor Day, C70 will send four cards per week for nine weeks in the lead-up to Election Day. These cards are free. We will also send suggestions for how to best use these cards in your class.
