The EduMachinima Fest is a new media Film Festival showcasing games and virtual environment formats combined with cinematic arts to teach, inform, entertain and inspire. It features both Student and Educator entries in a variety of categories.
To encourage the production of Machinima, the ISTE Games & Simulations Network and the Virtual Environment Network will be holding the annual EduMachinima Fest and viewing during the 2017 ISTE conference in San Antonio. Submission can be made by an individual or group.
VIDEO SUBMISSION:All video submissions should be formatted at the high definition resolution of 1280 x 720p and uploaded to YouTube. All submissions should include a credit section at the end of the video. Please provide attribution for public domain and Creative Commons material. Please provide the name of the author(s) and others who have contributed to the video. All machinima submissions must be recorded within the last 12 months. Lastly, all submissions should be appropriate for an educational audience. CHANNEL SUBMISSION:Channels can be in YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch. Make sure you provide your link in the form below so we can view your channel.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Submitted works do not need to be pure (100%) created in world or in game, but should contain be at least 80% Machininima. The only exception to this is the "Mixed Media" category, which should have at least 50% of the submission showcasing Machinima. The remaining portion of the Mixed Media submission could include other media. Examples of other media includes but is not limited to: live video, text slides, still images, etc.
In addition to awards for the stated categories, our panel of community judges will give award for Best Overall and may choose give awards for Best Special Effects, Best Editing, Best Sound and Best Machinimatography.

*All submissions must be suitable for K-12 audiences. All works submitted must be created by the either the individual submitting the nomination or a member of the group that created the work.
*All participants recorded in the video must be listed either in the credits at the end of the video, as part of the description of the work on the hosting service, or listed in the Machinima Production Credits section of the submission form.
Submissions are open until June 15, 2017 11:59 pm PDT.
