FLATBUSH FARM SHARE will only be offering vegetables this winter. Meat and maple syrup shares may be purchased directly through The Farm at Miller’s Crossing.

Winter Distribution Dates: SATURDAYS, 9:30am - 11:30am
November 9th and 23rd, December 7th & 21st, January 4th & 18th

• Vegetables: A mix of fresh, storage, and frozen vegetables. The Farm at Miller's Crossing's vegetables have been frozen by Farm to Table. Due to weather and availability, the farm cannot always provide the same vegetables for single and full shares at such large quantities.
- FULL share- includes 6-10 lbs. of storage vegetables and up to 1-4 packages of frozen vegetables, with salad and cooking greens as weather allows. Feeds about 3-4 people.
- SINGLE share- includes 4-6 pounds of storage and 1-3 packages of frozen vegetables, though will not include all of the vegetables that the full share receives. Feeds about 1-2 people.

BECOMING A MEMBER
To become a member of the Flatbush Farm Share, you must purchase a share and commit to 2 volunteer hours per season. Fill out the form and send in a check.

PICKING UP YOUR SHARE
Our distribution site is the Flatbush Reformed Church, located at 890 Flatbush Ave, at Church Ave. Please enter on the East side of the brick building (gym). We will be doing the distribution in the gym near the stage. Look for signs at the first distribution. Nearest transportation: Church Ave Q train and on the B41 & B35 bus routes. There is a parking lot on site, but there is NO parking allowed on Kenmore Terrace.

The Farm will deliver our produce on 6 Saturdays from November through January. Pick up is from 9:30am-11:30am. If you do not pick up your share, we will donate it to a local food pantry or resell it to earn funds for our subsidy demand and sustain the sliding scale. You will not be reimbursed for any shares you do not pick up. If you cannot come, find a friend to pick up your share for you!

VOLUNTEERING
We are entirely run on volunteer labor. Winter share membership means committing to a 2 hour Saturday volunteer shift. Volunteer activities mainly include setting up, facilitating, and cleaning up the distribution site on pick‐up day. Additional volunteer work may include doing community outreach, translating, organizing group activities, or serving on the planning group. We will have volunteer sign-ups in November.

SLIDING SCALE PRICE STRUCTURE
Our prices are based on member income levels and household size. Level 1 & 2 are below the farmer’s price and reserved for low to mid income households, which adds to our subsidy demand. Our mission is to make fresh, organic food accessible to all members of the Flatbush community regardless of economic circumstances. Please understand that if you sign up for Level 1 or 2, you are taking a very exclusive spot: Our limited funding only allows us to support a small number of members at each of these levels. If you have the resources, please pick Level 3 or 4! Members at Level 1 & 2 can use food stamps for part or all of their membership and can pay in regular installments at each distribution. At Levels 3/4 members must pay in full on or before October 18th.

Note: Level 1-2 spots will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis with priority given to returning members. We are not 100% certain of our funding at this time, so all level 1-2 sign ups are pending until confirmed. We will let you know as soon as we can!
A deposit of 1 week is required for levels 1 & 2 which will be used for the last week of distributin. (NOTE: LEVELS 1 & 2 are FULL. Please complete the form to be added to the WAIT LIST).

RUNNING THE CSA
The Flatbush Farm Share is volunteer run – by our membership. We invite you to get involved! It’s a great way to get to know other members and ensure that the organization is sustainable and can exist for the long term.
