Please ensure that you read, understand and accept the information below before attending a Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust event:

I understand that this is an outdoor activity and that outdoor activities have inherent risks. I may be exposed to risks during the course of the event that include, but are not limited to; exposure to the elements; being near rivers and waterways such as drowning, falling, slipping, boating, kayaking; walking on uneven surfaces including shorelines, rocky or muddy riverbanks; driving off-road; collecting rubbish or green waste which may contain sharp objects or hygiene risks; auditing rubbish which may contain sharp objects and hygiene risks.

I understand that risks associated with tree planting may include, but are not limited to; bending down for prolonged periods (potential back issues); using sharp hand tools such as spades, trowels, forks, or rakes; physical activity such as digging, weeding, spreading mulch; carrying heavy objects and working near defensive plants such as gorse and blackberry.

I understand that there are risks involved in the activities I will be undertaking. I also understand that an unpredictable or uncontrollable event may occur that could possibly cause me serious harm or death. I understand that these risks extend to the period traveling to and from the activity, including walking, cycling, driving, boating, or any other form of transport

I acknowledge that Sustainable Coastlines will take all reasonable and practicable steps to keep me safe while I am involved in these activities. However, I accept full responsibility for my own actions or inaction. In the case of an emergency I authorise Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust to consent, where it is not possible to communicate with me, to receiving such medical or surgical treatment as deemed necessary.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby waive any rights I may have to take legal action against Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust, participating organisations, sponsors and all other participants with respect to any personal injury or property damage whether arising from negligence or otherwise, as a result of participation in an event run by Sustainable Coastlines.

I furthermore express that it is not my intention that my estate should take any legal action against Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust should I lose my life during the course of this event.

I permit that Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust and its partners and sponsors may use, own and distribute any photos and/or footage of myself and my registered group taken during the course of the event, for publicity, advertising, sale, and distribution in perpetuity.
