Camp Bethel Summer Staff Application 2020 (for new Junior Counselors)
ALLOW YOURSELF ENOUGH TIME TO THOROUGHLY FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION (approx: 1 hour).  We are accepting applications for our limited Junior Counselor positions, and we will begin filling JC positions after March 1, so apply NOW or ASAP. Because funding is limited, only the best applicants can be hired as Junior Counselors.  Applicants not hired as Junior Counselors may opt to shift their application to a CIT position.

Directions for ALL Junior Counselor applicants:
1. You MUST involve your parent/guardian in this application process.  Involve them in your decision to apply.  Be sure they know your time/training commitments and the minor policy if you are hired.
2.  BEFORE completing this application, you AND your parent/guardian must read the following 2 documents: (a)  the most up-to-date Summer Camps Brochure at: www.CampBethelVirginia.org/camps; (b) 2019 Summer Staff Information (including position description, staff policies, etc.)  at: www.CampBethelVirginia.org/uploads/1/1/0/2/11021295/2020summerstaffinformation.pdf.
3.  Email the recommendation form link (https://goo.gl/forms/knfzCnHZalBgR62B3) to 3 persons recommending you.  Do NOT use family members, friends, significant others, or current Camp Bethel staff as references.  Your application is NOT complete and will not be reviewed until your 3 persons have submitted a recommendation for you.  We suggest that all recommendations are returned within 2 weeks of the application.  Be sure they know the position for which you are applying.
3.  Along with your application answers, send the following (mailed or e-mailed) to Camp Bethel: (a) a scan, digital photo, or photocopy showing your driver's license, if applicable; (b) a scan, digital photo, or photocopy of any current certification cards, if applicable; (c) a recent photo (digitally or printed) of you, and (d) a copy or image of your most recent report card to verify your minimum GPA of 2.5 for paid counselors/staff, if you are in high school grades 9-12.
