CRRC STEAM Education Volunteer Registration Form
This form is for CRRC Members, Licensees, and other stakeholders interested in providing volunteer services to schools that participate in the CRRC Cool Surfaces Lesson Plan. Depending on school's needs, volunteers may: 
  • Provide in-person guest lectures at schools in their local community
  • Provide virtual guest lectures at schools 
  • Provide technical review of projects related to cool surfaces completed by middle school students
By completing this form, you will be added to a list of volunteers who the CRRC will contact when opportunities arise to volunteer with schools.

Please briefly describe your qualifications regarding the topics of urban heat islands and cool surfaces, including your key areas of expertise (e.g., product types, research areas, etc.). The CRRC may follow up with you to learn more about your familiarity with these topics and will attempt to only send you volunteer opportunities that align with your expertise.  *

  • The CRRC will list me as a STEAM education volunteer on coolroofs.org. 
  • The CRRC will send me an email each time a participating school requests volunteer support that aligns with my responses above. I acknowledge that I am NOT expected to respond to every email, but I will only be considered to volunteer if I respond with my interest prior to the deadline stated in the notification email. 
  • If I am selected to volunteer with a school in-person or virtually, the CRRC will make an initial introduction and then I will be responsible for coordinating the logistics directly with the school. I understand that I will be required to comply with any clearance, conduct, or other requirements laid out by the school. Information about the school's requirements will be provided to me in the email notifying me of the volunteer opportunity.
  • Although the CRRC is facilitating this volunteer opportunity, I understand that I will represent myself and my employer during any volunteer activities. Volunteering does not make me an employee of, spokesperson for, or Authorized Educator of the CRRC.
  • I acknowledge that there are currently no minimum participation requirements for CRRC STEAM education volunteers, but the CRRC reserves the right to develop them in the future, if warranted.   
  • If I would like to be removed from the STEAM education volunteer list at any point, I will notify education@coolroofs.org.
