Call for Speaker Proposals: Financial Crimes & Incident Response
The Hawaii Cyber Project, funded by a NIST grant to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of Hawaii, is accepting applications from individuals who wish to be selected as the speaker for two events during the week of October 27, one in Kona and one in Waimea. This form serves as the official application to be considered. The selected speaker will deliver a 90-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A at each event. Presentations should cover financial crimes, cyber incident response, and mandatory reporting, while also providing practical insights that small and mid-sized organizations can use to strengthen their preparedness and resilience. Topics should include common attack methods, best practices for containment and recovery, collaboration with financial institutions and law enforcement, and the legal and regulatory requirements for reporting incidents. All applications must be submitted by September 21.
