22nd Annual Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival—Harvest Fair Performers Application
Welcome! Still Moon Arts Society is glad you're here. This application is for all Harvest Fair musicians and performers for the 22nd Annual Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival.

The Harvest Fair marks the beginning of the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival. It is a family-friendly event taking place at Slocan Park where attendees can meet the community, make crafts, and enjoy soup and pastries while watching performances by local musicians and performers. Are you a musician, dance group, stilt walker, clown, puppeteer, or any other kind of performer that is excited to show your talents? We’d love to hear from you!

For this year's festival, we celebrate twenty-two years of bringing together art, community, and the environment with the theme of "Water Reflections." Here is what Carmen Rosen, our Artistic Director, has to say:

"We hope the theme of Water Reflections this will inspire artists and community participants to reflect on our ongoing and complex relationship with water past, present and future, from childhood memories to current water joys and worries. There are so many ways to interpret the theme from literal scenic reflections in water, to reflecting on water as the circulatory system of the earth that we depend upon for our life. We can reflect on the great joy and peace we find in spending time by the water. We can also reflect on how climate change is changing water behaviour making droughts more extreme, storms more intense, and access to clean water less equitable across the world as is embroiled in power politics. We each have stories of what water is to us, what our water joy is, what our water worry is. Water Reflections invites us to flow into the stream and drift into reflection."

We hope that Carmen's words will inspire you as you work through this application.

No specific age limits, though minors will require assistance and supervision by a guardian at all times. We encourage everyone to apply and are seeking a diversity of applicants across disciplines from a pluralistic range of communities.

Artist's FeeParticipating artists are paid based on number of performers, set duration, and self-described amateur, emerging or professional artist status. Still Moon considers an amateur artist as anyone/group who doesn’t fit the emerging or professional categories, including but not limited to: people under 18, limited artistic experience, and/or no exhibition experience.

As a community festival, our artist fees depend on funding and our budget has not yet been confirmed. We are unable to give exact rates for artist fees at this time. We aim to be as transparent as possible and will inform selected artists on their expected artist fees as soon as our budget is confirmed.
