Rules/Regulations

Thank you for your interest in joining us for for Fall 2019 ArtScene in the Rockford City Market building in downtown Rockford! Acceptance will be decided by committee vote - applications will be looked at on a first come, first serve basis and space fee is non-refundable and due upon approval. We will have a space setup in our Bowtruss Room which is located at 116 N Madison Street.

Dates: Friday, October 4 from 5pm-9pm and Saturday, October 5 from 4pm-9pm

Fees: $40 per 10 X 10 space for the weekend

Set Up/Tear Down
Set up on Friday starts at 12pm and must be completed by 4:30pm. Artists may pull up on Madison Street or in the alleyway behind the market off of Market Street to unload. If using the alley way, cars must be parked to the side and not blocking through traffic or entrance doors and may not be there for longer than 10 minutes. Artists can then park their cars in nearby parking lot. Parking downtown is open after 5pm on Friday. Indoor art spaces will stay in place and be locked in the event space overnight. Vendors will be able to access the room again starting at 3:30pm on Saturday. Saturday tear down starts at 9:00pm and vendors may pull up in the back alley way on the lower level or on Madison to load their items.

Booth Space
Vendors are given a 10x10 space but may purchase multiple spaces. Items cannot be affixed to the walls nor hung from any pipes, windows, or other fixtures.

Food and Beverages
Vendors are approved to show and sell the items listed in their application. Vendors are not allowed to sell or giveaway food or beverages.

Electricity
Electricity is very limited and will be first come, first serve based on needs per vendor
If a vendor requires electric, needs must be clearly stated on the application listing the device or appliance and the amount of electricity it requires. Vendors must provide commercial grade extension cords.
Any vendor who causes power outages or issues due to incorrectly stating electric needs will be given a minimum of a $50 fine.
Due to the limited amount of electricity available, requests for outlets for phone charging will not be accepted.

Cleanup and Garbage
Vendors are required to clean up after themselves. Vendor space must be maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Vendors are responsible for taking with them any trash or garbage that is generated in or around their booth and sweeping up any product debris left on the ground.
