The Horse & Dragon tasting room may be used for private parties of 80* or fewer guests on mutually agreeable dates during these hours daily (pending staff availability):

*With available indoor seating in the tasting room, the maximum number of people we can accommodate indoors ranges from 50-75, depending on brewhouse availability. For events where guests are able to sit outside, the capacity is 80.
TABLE RESERVATIONS (during regular business hours)
If your group wishes to meet during our regular business hours and you do not need the entire Tasting Room, feel free to request that we reserve a table or two for your guests. To do that you can use this form, or you can call us at 970-689-8848. Please note that we are unable to reserve and hold tables on Fridays and Saturdays from 3-7pm, although our Tasting Room is usually able to accommodate groups on those days on a walk-in basis.
Q: Can we buy our guests beer?
A: If you would like to arrange for a hosted bar, please let us know in advance who will be responsible for the final bill. We will keep track of what is ordered and run the bill at the end of the party. We are happy to issue beer tokens (e.g. 2 tokens per person at the party) if you prefer to host just one or two beers.
Q: Do we provide the bartender for our event?
A: The bar will be staffed by Horse & Dragon team members for events, and events will not be confirmed until staffing is secured.
Q: Does Horse & Dragon have a full bar?
A: We can only serve Horse & Dragon beers. We also do not have ice, lemons, etc.
Q: Can I bring in other alcohol to serve at my party?
A: No outside alcohol may be brought in and served at the Horse & Dragon tasting room (our license does not allow for this). This may be a dealbreaker for your party if your guests are devoted to wine or whiskey!
Q: Can I bring in other non-alcoholic beverages?
A: You may bring in outside non-alcoholic beverages. Non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase in the tasting room are our own house-made flavored sparkling water or golden root beer and Kure’s Ginger Beer.
Q: Does Horse & Dragon have food?
A: We do not have a kitchen at Horse & Dragon. Parties are welcome to cater or bring their own food, or arrange for a food truck to be in the parking lot during the party. We do ask that hosts remove their trash from catering/gift wrap/etc at the completion of the event, as our trash and recycling receptacles are quite small.
Q: We're hoping to do a no-waste party -- how can you help?
A: We encourage you to use our reusable plates, napkins, and flatware rather than bring in landfill-bound items! Please let us know if you'd like to use them. If you'd like to go the extra mile, consider contacting Compost Queen (info@compostqueenfc.com) for an event bucket (into which you can put ALL food waste)!
Q: Can I play whatever music I want at my party?
A: We do not carry music licenses at Horse & Dragon. Our tasting room is of a size that commercial radio can be played without a license, but private playlists cannot be played unless from an approved pre-licensed list on our commercial SoundTrack account; bands that play copyrighted covers cannot perform here unless they are covered under some other license. We are happy to find a commercial radio station or pre-approved playlist from SoundTrack (commercial) that fits your desired music style.
Q: What other rules are there for hosting my event?
A: 1. We ask that you take all trash from your event with you when you leave, as part of our efforts to reduce waste include very small trash bins at the brewery. 2. All children must be fully supervised at all times at Horse & Dragon - we are a production brewery and safety is our highest concern, so please keep a close eye on all kiddos! 3. Anyone hoping to enjoy a beer must bring a valid ID to imbibe (at events and during normal tasting room hours). 4. If you plan to have a presentation during your event we recommend downloading all A/V components prior to arrival, as our wifi can be finicky at the tasting room.
Please note that any beer prices quoted for your gathering are subject to change, particularly if you are booking an event months out.
