You can't declare bankruptcy for federal student loans, your best bet is either paying them off or leaving the country.

Sorry you're going through this. Your best bet is to find a new boyfriend who is more responsible with their money and doesn't get into CC debt like this.

I like mint.com for budgeting. YNAB is great too and totally worth the money if you like a more manual approach.

I work in life insurance, it was never my plan to get into this field, but I got in at a young age and just stuck with it. The key is to stick with something long enough that when you put it on a resume that it looks good.
