Scholarship Requirements:

  1. Recipient of award must remain enrolled full-time (9 credits) during Fall and Spring semesters.
  2. Recipient of award may qualify for up to $11,590 in tuition/fees/books for the academic year. 
  3. Recipient can apply for funds for books up to $250 per term (included in the $11,590). To request funds, please email billing@ptseminary.edu and request funds up to $250 per term (Fall/Spring). *Please note this is an additional process if you are selected, not assumed by the completion of this application*. 
  4. If the recipient drops/withdraws below 9 credit hours, they will be responsible for the billed tuition and fees for the term and forfeit the scholarship moving forward.
Application Requirement: 

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Apply for admission to PTS and be accepted into an eligible degree program.

  2. Submit two letters of recommendation from non-family members. Recommendation letters must be sent directly to finaid@ptseminary.edu.

  3. Submit a Thank You Letter as described below.

A thank you letter to the donor(s) should be included as part of this application.

The letter must contain the following:

1. Your name, state and country of origin
2. Why you chose PTS for your education
3. Your current job/ministry
4. Your future plans for employment/ministry
5. Several sentences of appreciation for the family/church establishing a scholarship fund to assist students with tuition. 
6. Current picture of yourself.

*The letters will need to be addressed to 'Dear Scholarship Donor' and send in Microsoft Word or PDF format. 


The letter should be no shorter than a typed half page and no longer than a typed full page. It helps our donors to feel like they are part of our life if they can see whom they have helped. 

All letters should be typed below and emailed separately to srichie@ptseminary.edu and cc: finaid@ptseminary.edu.

All Financial Aid is awarded annually and is based on financial need with the exception of merit-based scholarships. The Seminary does not guarantee that awards will be renewed again the following year as all scholarships are awarded annually. Scholarships are awarded as funds permit with the first priority given to applications received by the deadline.
