Our programs are sponsored by VECINA Appalachia, Inc. Curriculum is delivered in Spanish and English at Casita Monte in order to create immersive experiences that enhance language, cognitive, and social development.

EARLY EDUCATION
All early education programs held at Casita Monte are for Ages 0 to 4 years. Our typical student to teacher ratio is 5 students for every teacher with a minimum teacher-student ratio of 1 to 7. This year's Casita Monte summer program for ages 0-4 will focus on coping skills and modes of expression to help students navigate their world and form early bonds.
Nuestra Naturaleza / Our Nature »
September 30 - December 20 »
Focused on bringing out the nature lover in a multiage, diverse group of students. Per the county’s order, Nuestra Naturaleza will operate in 2024 as a half-day program.
Ritmus: Music and Rhythm Play Group »
Jan 13 - May 9 »
Focused on bringing authentic cultural experiences to our young children through movement, sound, and storytelling. Program schedule to be announced in December 2024.
ELEMENTARY
Casita Monte has limited spaces for our afterschool program, weekdays 2:30-5:30 with option to add on for select school holidays, closures, and remote learning days.
HIGH SCHOOL
Empoder Community Leadership Club is delivered in English, meets once a week, and is held at local organizations to enhance networking opportunities. The club’s academic advisor is local nonprofit organizer and educational leadership doctorate, Dr. María Hernández. All leadership club members will have priority admission in the annual summer summit. Leadership club starts September 4, 2024. Program includes basic language instruction in Spanish. No previous experience speaking Spanish required.
COLLEGE
