Join this exciting 25-26 Title Community of Practice designed for Title teachers and/or paraprofessionals to collaborate with others in your same shoes while engaging in some exciting PD!
Hosted by Nathan Williamson, of MAZI Education, who was a former English Learner teacher, Title I Director at the local level, and Title Director for the State of Indiana. Several guest speakers will participate as well!
Separate sessions via Zoom for each Community of Practice (CoP) will occur live and on-demand via Teachable starting in September 2025, designed for 1) Title teachers or 2) Title paraprofessionals.
Each session will be 1 hr. to focus on a topic of interest, such as the below, while allowing for collaboration and follow up with valuable resources.
Topics include:
- How do you serve and identify children in a schoolwide school
- Coordinate services under Title I with other programming
- Co-teaching and push in best practices
- How to compile and keep up on parent notices
- Educational strategies for managing behavior
- How to serve students with disabilities in a Title I program
- Improving chronic absenteeism
- Science of Reading
- Family engagement session
- Grant 101s
Feedback regarding specific time(s) of day that work for most attendees will drive the time of the live sessions. All will be recorded for later viewing.
